But was the guac extra? Fashion designer Marc Jacobs proposed to longtime boyfriend Charly Defrancesco on Wednesday, April 5, surprisingly in one of the most approachable and down-to-earth ways possible: inside a local Chipotle.

The fashion force, however, didn’t pop the question on whim. Jacobs formed an elaborate plan to propose inside the beloved burrito chain—complete with documentation. Defrancesco believed they were simply grabbing a burrito bowl, but suddenly, a flash mob broke out inside the middle of the restaurant all to Prince’s smash hit “Kiss.”

Then, Jacobs dropped down to one knee.

The designer subsequently took to Instagram to share his latest relationship news. “And this happened… THANK YOU everyone for making this happen,” Jacobs wrote. “And to my Ride or Die fiancé @chardefrancesco I LOVE YOU.”

Jacobs was previously engaged to Brazilian PR executive Lorenzo Martone. The couple broke off their relationship in 2010.
