This marriage is healthy! Dr. Mehment Oz just threw it way back on Instagram, sharing a throwback photo with his wife, Lisa Oz, from their wedding more than three decades ago.

The couple celebrated their 31st wedding anniversary on Wednesday, June 29, and the daytime Dr. Oz Show host couldn’t help but gush about the occasion on Instagram.

Lisa sported a fluffy white wedding dress, shoulder-length hair and a floral crown in the throwback wedding photo, while her husband wore a swanky tuxedo and a huge grin with his arm wrapped around his beautiful bride.

“Happy anniversary to my amazing wife @lisaoz,” he captioned the memorable image. “31 years ago, I made the best decision of my life.” Adding some words of wisdom for his fans he continued, “Remember that love always perseveres and will eclipse the hate that some spew into our society.”

The 56 year-old cardiothoracic surgeon, author and television personality is no stranger to praising his longtime wife and mother of their 30 year-old daughter Daphne Oz. With an empire built on whole health and wellness tips, marriage is a topic that he often talks about, leading by example with his own relationship.

On their 30th wedding anniversary last year, Dr. Oz shared another stunning throwback wedding photo on Facebook, offering up some guidance to those asking how he and his wife Lisa, 52, have successfully stuck with each other this long.

“Many people have asked my advice for long and happy relationships and I offer the insight that we have to ‘re-create’ our marriage every 7 years,” he wrote on June 29, 2015. “The hormonal handcuffs of love will attach couples at the hips initially after marriage, but these can wear off and it is imperative that you re-imagine your union to keep it healthy. Otherwise, you can grow apart, as each member feels that they already know everything that the other has to offer, and stagnation sets in; this seems to apply to friendships and jobs as well.”

The love between Dr. Oz and his wife Lisa is infectious, and we can only hope to “catch” some of those symptoms ourselves!
