Mary Kate looked incredible in her Sherri Hill two-piece white wedding dress comprised of a lace crop top and flowing tulle ball gown skirt. Topped with romantic curls and a bright flower crown, she stole the show while walking across the green grass to tie the knot. But during the couple’s newly released wedding video we also get to see John Luke reveal a sneaky addition in his wedding wardrobe to his bride that we had to mention in our top 5!
Inside John Luke’s sharp suit jacket was a custom printed lining that showcased beautiful photos of he and Mary Kate. At the very center of the hidden collage is a golden glowing image of the couple almost kissing – a beautiful image captured during the couple’s engagement photo session.

Call us hungry, but the second spot on our top moments list is reserved for the food and drinks at this party! Catching our eye immediately was the make-your-own slushie station! With flavors like Blue Razzle Berry, Pink Lemon Lemon Pucker and Root Beer Fizz, John Luke and Mary Kate planned the perfect self-serve bar for guests to cool off during their summer nuptials.
The couple had over 800 guests to feed, so quick bites were absolutely necessary, and along with salad bars and other food stations, their giant soft taco grill provided speedy sustenance for guests wanting to get back to the dance floor. Don’t worry, they didn’t forget the sweet tea and six tier wedding cake either!

Next up on the list is entertainment! You simply cannot have an 800-guest Duck Dynasty wedding without some great live music to get the party started! Opening up the large dance floor, John Luke and Mary Kate shared their first dance as husband and wife to “Forever Like That” performed by the song’s recording artist himself, Ben Rector. After that, a whole slew of local bands and performers took to the stage to serenade the large wedding crew, including one of John Luke’s groomsmen.
The recently engaged Dancing with the Stars pro Mark Ballas and BC Jean were also in attendance for the summertime wedding and can be seen in the video chatting pre-ceremony and performing during the reception later in the evening! What a blast it must have been to be a part of this event!

Fourth on our list is the super sweet gift exchange John Luke and Mary Kate did before their first looks. Still remaining in their separate quarters, the couple opened a single present from their soon-to-be-spouse. While John Luke gifted his bride a gorgeous pair of earrings, Mary Kate gave John Luke a handmade scrapbook full of drawings and sweet sentiments about their lives together.
“I think I’m always gonna be proud of her,” John Luke said. “She gave me a gift and I was reading through it, and she’s such an amazing artist, and writer.”
He shared in the video, “To go back and look at the pictures of our adventures in the past, I couldn’t help but think about our adventure now and the adventure we’re about to go on. That looking at all these fun times that we had and just trying to imagine doing that for the rest of our lives,” adding, “and there’s gonna be hard times, of course, but I know there’s going to be a lot of fun times too.”

Last but certainly not least we have to give it up to the parents of the bride and groom, who filled this video, and their children, with love and laughter. While Duck Dynasty “Duck Commander” Willie took on the role as the wedding officiant, marrying the couple in an American flag bandanna that rivaled Mary Kate’s flower crown, Korie shared that from moment to moment June 27 felt like a normal day, until she remembered what the party was for. “But then all of a sudden it hits me,” she said. “It’s like the eyes kind of well up and it’s like ok, this is not a normal day.”
The McEacharn’s also popped into the video, sharing a fun story about their daughter’s dating habits – or lackethereof – by explaining that John Luke was Mary Kate’s first and last boyfriend. “So we always joked and told her ‘you can’t date until you’re married’ and she literally took it literally,” the bride’s mother revealed in the video, but both her mother and father couldn’t be happier with the man their daughter fell in love with.
