Time flies when you’re having fun! Season 10 of Duck Dynasty kicked off on Wednesday, July 6, with Willie and Korie Robertson’s 25th wedding anniversary celebration — but there was a teeny timeline blunder.
On the show, Willie solicited the advice of his big brother Alan on what he should gift Korie. Alan recommended flowers and then ended up sharing a little too much about his 25th wedding anniversary. “I got Lisa twenty four red roses, and then one white rose right in the middle,” Alan recalled to Willie. “We took a trip, but she got the runs.”
Willie then asked for help from his brother Jase, who suggested a collection of 25 earrings for 25 years of marriage. Jep then threw in some advice and told Willie to get an ear pierced. “You could be like, Harrison Ford,” Jep told Willie. “He looks good with an earring.”
Jase continued to suggest gifts in the 25-range, and the others piped in with more ideas, like 25 doves and 25 Clydesdale horses. In the end, the number 25 wasn’t relevant to the married Duck Dynasty couple — at all!

Willie and Korie realized that their upcoming anniversary celebrated only 24 years of marriage, not 25, which would give the husband more time to come up with a silver anniversary gift!

The Duck Dynasty couple still celebrated their “25th/24th anniversary” on the show with a lively telling of their love story performed by their kids including their latest adopted son, Rowdy. Their son John Luke Robertson and daughter-in-law Mary Kate McEacharn also Skyped the couple to congratulate them on their marital milestone.
