Carrie Underwood got a mega surprise when she visited The Ellen DeGeneres Show on Friday, September 16.

The country superstar, 33, made her 10th appearance on Ellen, and the show’s host, DeGeneres, made sure to prepare an anniversary gift that Underwood will not forget — for a very long time.

The “Dirty Laundry” singer reminisced about her first time on DeGeneres’ show after winning season 4 of American Idol back in 2005. “We were babes – just little babes,” she recalled. “Right after Idol I was on…”

DeGeneres helped the seven-time Grammy Award winner remember some of the highlights, including a photo of the duo together during Underwood’s debut on the popular daytime show.

After sharing how “amazing” it was that ten years had passed, DeGeneres was ready to surprise the famous singer. “I feel like I should give you a gift of some sort,” she told Underwood. “I don’t know what it should be, but…”

“Oooh,” the intrigued crooner replied.

Just then, a mystery man shocked Underwood by popping up beside her – wearing her husband Mike Fisher‘s hockey jersey and a helmet.

“Ah! Oh, my gosh! Come on!” Underwood shouted after letting out a horrified scream.

DeGeneres laughed as her guest covered her face with her hands, trying to gain her composure.
