Josh Brolin married model Kathryn Boyd, on Saturday, September 24.
According to E! News, the newlyweds exchanged vows during an evening ceremony in an undisclosed location. Wedding guests used the hashtag #JBKBStuckTogether to document the couple’s special day. It seems Brolin, 48, and his blushing bride chose a picturesque venue in Cashiers, North Carolina, to make their union official.
Judging by images on Instagram, it was the perfect evening for an outdoor ceremony. The newly married duo was surrounded by family and close friends, according to E! News.
Brolin may be busy filming the upcoming 2017 action film, Granite Mountain, but he didn’t expect his bride-to-be to tackle wedding plans alone.
The Oscar-nominated Milk actor admitted earlier this month that he had a lot to contribute during the planning process. “I’m the guy who has to force himself to back off!” he told E! News. “I’m such a control freak and I want to control everything.”
“It’s not even that I want to control it… I just want to be in the middle of it,” Brolin explained. “I want to be in the nucleus of it, because that’s the fun part. That’s the nectar.”
While promoting his 2015 film, Everest, Today Show host Savannah Guthrie questioned Brolin about his part in wedding planning.
“It’s fun for me… Is that wrong?” the actor asked before admitting that he loved the process.
Brolin did draw the line when it came to the feminine touches. When Guthrie asked if he had picked out doilies, his response was comical and unsurprising: “Well, not doilies. I don’t go that far,” Brolin said jokingly. “But I like it… She doesn’t have to draw me into this thing; I like it.”
The couple dated for two years before getting engaged in April 2015, giving them plenty of time to plan their September 2016 nuptials.
This is Brolin’s third marriage. He split from actress Diane Lane back in 2013 after an eight-year union. Before that, he was married to actress Alice Adair from 1988 – 1994, whom he shares two grown children, Trevor and Eden, with.
