When Tyler Stanaland started planning his proposal to Brittany Snow, he was certain of one specific element in the ring design process: it had to speak to her personal style.
The couple’s jeweler Happy Jewelers, tells The Knot the details behind the Pitch Perfect star’s round brilliant engagement ring, and says it’s a feasible option for many couples as well. “We specialize in custom design,” a spokesperson for the company explains. “So Tyler had the chance to design Brittany’s ring to perfectly fit her personal style and personality.”
Stanaland opted for a two-carat, round brilliant diamond, which includes a four-prong setting, all set on white gold.
Typically, the cost of a ring of this type would set a couple back at least $40,000, one expert previously estimated.
The John Tucker Must Die actress, meanwhile, finally decided it was time to share the news of her engagement this week on Instagram.
“A couple weeks ago, I said ‘YES’ about a million times to the man of my wildest & most beautiful dreams,” Snow wrote. “After celebrating with friends and family, we wanted to let a few more friends (you guys) know… this happened. I’m still pinching myself and thanking my lucky stars for the truest feeling I’ve ever felt.”
In the interim, the pair took a rather important first step in the planning process. “Brittany and Tyler came in shortly after their engagement to get it sized and to look at wedding bands,” the jeweler concludes. “She’s absolutely in love with her ring!
