One New York City-based couple experienced a merry beginning to their marriage at the Happiest Place on Earth. Amid proposal season, The Knot gets the exclusive first look at the pair’s Frozen-themed wedding at Disney World, airing Monday, December 11, on Freeform’s holiday special of Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings.
The clip opens with the pair sharing the fateful tale of how they first met (in 2012 on Cinco de Mayo). And while the initial details were a bit hazy—“She thought my name was Frank… I thought she was from Queens,” says the groom—the pair ultimately fell in love.
The bride, Dominique, is a substitute teacher who hails from a very large Italian family. The groom, Joe, also was raised from a lively Italian family, and is committed to public service as part of the NYPD. While dating, they embarked upon their first vacation together at Disney World, and fittingly decided to return to the resort for their wedding.
According to Freeform, the pair will throw a Frozen-themed wedding fit for Elsa and Anna. “It has been Dominique’s dream since she was a little girl to get married at Disney’s Wedding Pavilion adjacent to Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa, and her dreams are about to come true,” reads the original press release. “Joe and Dominique’s large Italian family will also be treated to a surprise musical performance.”
Husband-and-wife duo Allison Holker and Stephen “tWitch” Boss will co-host the one-hour holiday feature, which promises the whimsical and festive holiday weddings of two couples.
Watch the exclusive clip above and tune in to Disney’s Fairy Tale Weddings: Holiday Magic on December 11, at 8 p.m. ET on Freeform.
