FLOTUS does a pretty mean POTUS! First Lady Michelle Obama joined Stephen Colbert on The Late Show on Tuesday, September 20, and did a spot-on impression of her husband, President Barack Obama.

The first lady has been making her rounds in the media as her husband’s second term in the nation’s highest office slowly comes to an end.

“It’s definitely bittersweet,” she remarked this week. “And I find myself choking up because we have raised our kids in the White House. We’ve had so many amazing experiences. We have a phenomenal staff. We live in a house with people who love us and care about us. And we’re gonna be walking away from all that.”

Show host Colbert then held up the couple’s sweet Essence cover story. “I need to talk you about this picture,” he noted of one gorgeous photo of the pair. “When it was released, it burned the Internet to the ground.”

“It’s me and my boo!” she joked. “That’s boo Obama.”

She then shared her husband’s likely demeanor while they were posing for that particularly-sentimental shot. “You know, Barack is horrible in photoshoots. I hate doing photoshoots with him,” she revealed. “So I’m sure right there, I was saying, ‘Would you just be patient? Don’t rush the photographer.’”

It turns out she’s not the only member of the family who likes to poke fun at the Commander in Chief. “All three of us have good impressions of Barack,” Michelle shared. “It’s usually at the dinner table, because Malia will start the conversation.”

The youngest Obama daughter will ask about a topic like global warming, which solicits a detailed response from the head of state, such as: “Well, I’m glad you asked that. Let me just answer that in three points. One, then 1A, and B.” Michelle added: “And Sasha and I are like, ‘[signals groans].’”
