While gazebos already contain an elevated element for proposals and wedding-related events, perhaps one of the most romantic and iconic gazebos to be featured on a TV show is located smack in the center of a sleepy New England town known as Stars Hollow on the beloved drama Gilmore Girls.
In real life, the spot is located at the Warner Brothers Studio in Burbank, California.
One man named Sebastian Wright chose to propose to his girlfriend—Gilmore Girls-style—while enjoying the studio tour near Hollywood. Wright planned to propose his love, Molly Larimer, during a drive through the fictional set, which features the romantic gazebo in the center of the makeshift village.
“She would talk about that gazebo every time we’d drive anywhere and see a gazebo,” Wright told the Today show. “She’s like, ‘Look! It’s a gazebo.'”

The couple’s friends and family members joined the crew for the tour, and a manager had the pair walk over to the gazebo for an “improv scene.” It was right then and there that Wright, 23, dropped to one knee, in the very spot where Lorelai Gilmore (Lauren Graham) and Luke Danes (Scott Patterson) exchanged vows.
“(I had) no idea,” Larimer, a huge fan of the show, added of the proposal. “No one gave me any hints.”
Thankfully, the couple’s loved ones were equipped with cameras to document the special moment. She later shared photos from the sweet moment on social media, rousing the envy of the internet.
