Zosia Mamet is celebrating her newlywed status after marrying actor Evan Jonigkeit, her rep confirms to The Knot.
The 28-year old Girls star took to Instagram on Sunday, October 2, to share her wedding news in the most unique of ways. “@evanj550 my best friend, my soulmate, my HUSBAND, I love you. Here’s to forever and a day,” the actress shared, along with a set of bride and groom rubber duckies with a sign in the background reading, “E+Z,” in a heart.
Mamet’s X-Men actor husband posted the same sweet image, captioning it, “Last night I married my best friend. @zosiamamet.”
Tony Buckett, a stylist at Serge Normant salon, perfected the bride’s wedding day hair with a braided style adorned with beautiful flowers. “Sometimes you just don’t need a veil,” the talented stylist said in a congratulatory message. “Congrats @zosiamamet to being the girl that has never been traditional.”
The actress opted for multiple matching necklaces and large diamond earrings to complete her bridal look.
The newlyweds couldn’t have timed their nuptials better. The hit HBO series Girls – in which Mamet plays Shoshanna Shapiro – will air it’s sixth and final season in winter 2017. She has also finished filming two movies, Goldbricks in Bloom and Dominion – both set to release this year.
Jonigkeit also kept busy during the lead up to the duo’s wedding. He’s played parts in two films, Whiskey Tango Foxtrot and Tallulah, this year.
Unlike Marnie’s drama-filled nuptials during season 5 of Girls, it seems Mamet’s real-life ceremony was drama-free and full of love. Congrats to the newlyweds.
