There’s more football to come! New England Patriots quarterback Tom Brady seems to have no trouble juggling his professional and personal endeavors, but he revealed this week that his wife, Gisele Bundchen, would love for him to retire.

“If it was up to my wife, she would have me retire today. She told me that last night… three times,” the superstar athlete, 39, told Jim Miller of SiriusXM NFL Radio on Monday, February 6–the day after he led the Patriots to victory against the Atlanta Falcons during Super Bowl LI.

Despite the supermodel’s pleas, Brady isn’t quite ready for the retired life. “I said, ‘Too bad, babe, I’m having too much fun right now.’ You know, I feel like I can still do it and if you love what you do and you’re capable of doing it then… I’d be so bored if I wasn’t going out there, knowing that I could still do it,” he continued. “So, I’m going to work hard to be ready to go, and I still plan on playing for a long time.”

According to Brady, having stability at home helps him on the field. “In some ways, being more experienced and having your family life settled does allow you to focus a little bit more, cause there’s less BS in your life,” he explained. “You know, you have your family, and then you can go to work and focus on your job.”

Bundchen, 36, may be anxious for her husband to hang up his cleats, but she’s also his number one fan. Before Sunday’s game, she gave Brady a “protection necklace” to keep him safe, and after the Patriots win, she shared a sweet, post-victory photo of she and her hubby on Instagram.

“Wonderful things come to those who work hard with focus, tireless dedication and who never stop believing,” she wrote, alongside the adorable snap. “Forever grateful for this moment. Congratulations my love!! #neverstopbelieving #lovemovesmountains #dedication #family #thankyouGod.”
