Awards season is the prime time for plenty of content—scoping out the latest red carpet moments, engaging in fiery discussions about what films and TV series deserve awards, and seeing which stars will knowingly, or unknowingly, become memes in the new year.
At Sunday night’s Golden Globes, John Krasinski quickly cemented himself as (early) contender for husband of the year after he was spotted cheering loudly for his wife, Emily Blunt, while she presented an award with Hollywood icon Dick Van Dyke. In a moment that has since gone viral, Krasinski, 39, can be seen with both hands cupping his mouth as he shouts his support for Blunt, 35. The Mary Poppins Returns actress then pauses briefly to find him in the audience and shoot a quick, but meaningful, smile his way.

The couple’s sweet exchange caught the attention of social media users almost immediately, with viewers expressing their approval for the pair’s unabashed PDA.
“John Krasinski cheered on his wife in the crowd and Emily Blunt managed to find im and smiled y’all this is true love and I’m here for it,” one Twitter user wrote. Added another, “I just want someone to love me and support me like John Krasinski does Emily Blunt.”

Other memes of the moment compared the former The Office star to both Meryl Streep (who famously cheers from the crowd during multiple awards shows in years’ past) and Kris Jenner (with a caption reading, “You’re doing amazing, sweetie,” for her famous phrase on the show.)
Krasinski and Blunt have been outspoken about their support for each other before. Of Mary Poppins Returns, the film for which Blunt received a nomination for Best Actress in a Musical or Comedy, Krasinski has only had the highest praise.
“It’s honestly one of the most beautiful films,” he said of the Disney film during a November appearance on The Ellen DeGeneres Show. “I think it’s exactly what everybody needs at the holidays, the pure joy.”
The actor even admitted to getting intensely emotional watching the film with Blunt and their two young daughters.
“The orchestra started playing, and Emily started singing, and I just immediately wept,” he previously told Vanity Fair. “It was really wild. It was like finding out that your wife can levitate. It was just like, ‘When were you going to tell me this?’”
Krasinski and Blunt married in 2010 and have two daughters together, Hazel, 4, and Violet, 2.
