It’s a merger worthy of Seattle Grace Mercy West. Grey’s Anatomy actor Giacomo Gianniotti is engaged to girlfriend Nichole Gustafson, he announced Sunday, November 26.
The actor took to Instagram over Thanksgiving weekend to share the news of his engagement alongside a sweet photo with Gustafson. “She said yes,” Gianniotti wrote. “I am truly one lucky guy, and I wouldn’t rather be walking down this crazy road of life with anyone else. I love you. Thank you.”
Gianniotti, who plays Dr. Andrew DeLuca on Shonda Rhimes’ series, proposed with what appears to be a large cushion cut diamond. “Yesterday my best friend asked me to marry him in the most romantic way, a day reliving our love,” the makeup artist wrote. “We are thrilled. I wouldn’t want to do this life with anyone else. I love you baby and can’t wait to be your wife.”
She concluded, “This man has showed me what true love is. What a dream come true, pinch me.”
The actor proposed with a romantic gesture of rose petals lining the floor. “I’m sweeping up all the rose petals from yesterday,” she added alongside her slideshow. “It all feels like such a dream come true. My best friend asked me to marry him and we couldn’t be happier. Beautiful roses.”
Along with his role on Grey’s Anatomy, Giannotti has starred on The CW’s Reign.
