She is not saying “sorry” to that ring. Pop superstar Justin Bieber and model Hailey Baldwin are truly engaged as evidenced by new photos shared to a fan account on Sunday, July 8.

Images circulated of the pair at Nippers Bar and Grill in the Bahamas on the same day that TMZ broke the news of their engagement. On Baldwin’s left ring finger was her giant new sparkler—an oval-shape stone set on a diamond pave band.

Interestingly enough, a 2012 retweet from Baldwin circulated online after the ring photos were revealed. In her social media update, the then-burgeoning model shared a tweet that read someone wanted a stone as large as Blake Lively’s pink diamond from Ryan Reynolds.

According to TMZ, the “Sorry” hitmaker proposed to the model at their resort in the Bahamas during a sweet dinner. Guests and bystanders were forbidden from capturing footage of the proposal itself.

A source corroborated the surprising engagement news to People. “It’s kind of a surprise, but kind of not,” the insider explained. “Justin has been extremely happy these past few weeks. He has known Hailey for a long time. This might seem sudden, but they know each other very well.”

The two have maintained an on-again and off-again romance over the years, though at the core, they’ve diligently remained friends. “Justin and I were friends for a long time,” she told the Times UK this past May, right before they reunited. “I met him when I was really young and he was one of my best friends. Everybody knows that at a certain point in time that turned into something else, but that just happens when you’re 18, 19. It was what it was. We went through a long period of time when we weren’t friends. We didn’t speak for quite some time and there was a lot of weirdness that went on. We’ve moved past that.”
