Jack Brooksbank was one ecstatic groom on his wedding day to Princess Eugenie.
Grinning from ear to ear, Brooksbank arrived without his glasses but chose to put them on as he awaited his bride at the end of the aisle on their special day. When his longtime love arrived, he removed his specs and handed them to his best man, his brother Thomas. Twitter users speculated he wanted to see his bride walk down the aisle as clearly as possible.
And it paid off—footage from the couple’s wedding continued to capture an emotional Brooksbank and more sweet gestures. As he stood inside St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, he appeared to whisper “oh my heart” to Princess Eugenie as he admired her for the first time on their wedding day.
Brooksbank wasn’t the only one taken aback by the bride’s beauty. The world admired Eugenie as she stepped out in a sentimental A-line gown with natural hair and makeup.
The groom’s reaction is strikingly similar to that of Prince Harry’s when he saw his bride, Meghan Markle, for the first time at the very same venue—Harry famously whispered “I’m so lucky” when he locked eyes with the future Duchess of Sussex.
