It was a “wonderland with candlelight” for Jamie-Lynn Sigler, who married Cutter Dykstra on January 16 in a Palm Springs wedding ceremony. The Sopranos actress, 34, and her pro-baseball player boyfriend, 26, tied the knot in front of over 150 guests, according to People.
The ceremony and reception took place at the four-star Parker Palm Springs hotel in Palm Springs, California, and Sigler managed to pull-off her dream of a “cozy” wedding beautifully.
“I just wanted it to feel like a wonderland with candlelight,” the bride-to-be told People prior to the wedding. “I’m excited about just seeing everyone have a great time because we put so much heart and love into this.”
“We just wanted everyone to be relaxed and have a great time,” Sigler adds. “It’s laid-back, not fancy. That’s who we are as a couple so we wanted the wedding to represent us.”
Sigler, who planned the wedding with the help of her best friend, made sure to give the couple’s 2-year old son, Beau, a starring role on their special day. He wore a “miniature tuxedo” and held a baseball homeplate that read, “Here comes my mommy.” The family’s dog, Bean, also took part in the festivities; he lead Dykstra’s niece down the aisle, according to People.
The beautiful bride, who walked down the aisle with her father, wore an Oscar de la Renta gown during the outdoor Saturday evening ceremony. The couple wed on the hotel’s Croquet Lawn with singer Lance Bass officiating.
Wedding guests included actresses JoAnna Garcia Swisher and Lea Michelle. “I am completely overwhelmed with emotion,” Swisher told People. “Cutter and Jamie are one of the most incredible couples I know. Watching them make this commitment in front of so much love and their perfect son, Beau, is just the most amazing thing.”
“Getting to see this amazing couple share such a beautiful moment among all of our friends and their families was so amazing,” Michelle added. “I couldn’t be happier for my friend Jamie on this wonderful day.”
The couple spared no expense to create a memorable evening for friends and family. Upscale wedding favors included included Casamigos tequila and Alkaline H2O from Pressed Juicery, according to People. Guests were also treated to a “lavish desserts table” after dining on pan-seared sea bass and New York strip steak.
Family means everything to the new bride, who takes comfort in knowing she has her father’s blessing. “Anytime I look at Cutter and Beau, I’m overwhelmed with emotion,” she says. “My dad has said to me on several occasions that Cutter is exactly who he would want for me. It means everything that my dad feels that way about him.”
The happy couple, who were first introduced by Swisher and her baseball pro husband, had been together for about a year prior to their engagement. Dykstra proposed to Sigler in early 2013, and they welcomed their son, Beau, later that year. This is the second marriage for the actress, who was previously married to manager AJ Discala from 2003-2006.
So, what was the most memorable wedding day moment for the happy bride? Possibly sharing it with her son. “[He] gets to stay up late and eat as much cake and candy as he wants,” Sigler said. “I think it’s so cool that I have that memory with him.”
Congratulations to the happy family! We think you hit a home run.
