On Sunday, October 25, Grammy-winning singer-songwriter Jason Mraz married his fiancee Christina Carano in an intimate outdoor wedding.

Mraz, 38, revealed he had tied the knot by posting an image of Carano standing solo in the middle of the aisle on Instagram Sunday. In the photo Carano is wearing a high-collar, long-sleeved white lace wedding dress with a sheer skirt. She has a crown of flowers in her hair and is holding a bouquet of lightly colored flowers in her hands.

“Today I was made the luckiest man in the world,” he captioned the photo.

Shortly after the couple officially became husband and wife, the “I’m Yours” crooner also changed his Instagram and Twitter bio to read “Singer/Songwriter/Husband.” The couple were married in an intimate outdoor setting at the unique Pole Green Historic Church in Mechanisville, Virginia, where Mraz grew up, in front of about 50 family members and friends, Mraz’s rep confirmed with E! News. According to an interview with the couple in the August issue of The Osider magazine – the couple graces its cover – back in 2007 a mutual friend introduced the two after Mraz walked into the coffee shop Carano formerly owned in Hermosa Beach, California. Their love blossomed slowly with the two not officially dating until 2011. “The first few years of getting to know him, I was mostly an observer of his life,” Carano said in their interview with The Osider. “I’d get invited to his concerts and small gatherings at his house here in Oceanside where I’d think, ‘Of all the places he could be, he chose to live in nature amongst the avocado trees.’”

But in 2011, the “stars aligned” for Mraz and Carano and their romance began to grow. “After several years of crushing on him, the stars finally aligned—and now he’s my stud. We’ve created a really awesome life together and we make a great team,” Carano told The Osider. “He’s the most loving, generous, and most hardworking man I know. These are the most attractive qualities I could ever ask for in a partner. He inspires me and empowers me everyday to live my best life and he cares so deeply about the things that really matter. We’re truly blessed in so many ways.”

“I felt an instant connection to her and have admired her integrity and practices since day one,” Mraz said of his then soon-to-be bride in The Osider interview, adding, “She is whole-hearted in every action, is extremely generous, completely drama-free, and has the most intuitive-genius-mind in the kitchen. Not to mention her smile absolutely melts me.”

Today, Mraz followed up on his photo from Sunday with a “#TBT” of similar image of his bride and a bit of thanks.

“#TBT to the day I was made the luckiest man in the world. Thank you everyone for all the kind congrats,” he wrote on the photo shared on Instagram. The photo shows Mraz in a white shirt and suspenders holding a camera, capturing the first snapshot he shared of Carano in her gown.
