This couple and elevators! Jay Z recently took an adorable photo of his world-famous wife, Beyonce — and the snapshot itself is causing a ruckus across the Internet.
The hip-hop mogul, 46, has been dubbed the ultimate “Instagram husband” after taking a photo for his wife — and being caught in the frame. Beyonce, who’s in Europe for her Formation World Tour, looks exceptionally lovely in the picture as she leans against the walls of a mirrored elevator car. Her husband of eight years, meanwhile, is seen taking the photo in the backdrop with an iPhone.
In the pic, Jay looks fiercely focused on utilizing the best possible lighting and angle. On the other hand, fans have argued that he’s actually taking a selfie.

Many astute observers were quick to refer to Jay as an “Instagram husband” – a term that is used for husbands who also serve as their wives’ photographers. The concept of “Instagram husband” was brought to life by the folks at The Mystery Hour, after the Emmy Award-winning improv comedians created a short mockumentary PSA about husbands who follow photo-taking instructions from their wives.
Since the photo went viral several Twitter followers have voiced their opinions. While some side with the rapper-as-Insta-hubby option, others have examined Jay-Z’s pose, stating that he was actually taking a selfie and B got in the way.
