Jeffrey Dean Morgan and Hilarie Burton’s wedding was, according to guests, the “very best” ever. The longtime couple married Saturday, October 5, and their loved ones have since opened up about the nuptials.

Bethany Joy Lenz, who played Haley James Scott alongside Burton (Peyton Sawyer) on the CW’s One Tree Hill told Us Weekly the affair was one for the ages. “It was the best wedding I’ve ever been to,” she told the publication. “The very best.”

She continued, “It was the company and just knowing everyone at the wedding made a huge difference. Also the celebration of two people who have done a lot of hard work to get where they are and they deserve every bit of happiness that they squeeze out of this tiny life that we have.”

Given that the two were introduced via Morgan’s Supernatural costar Jensen Ackles and Burton’s One Tree Hill costar Danneel Harris, the couple’s respective cast members were seamlessly integrated into the ceremony.

“We’re family for life no matter what,” Lenz said of the One Tree Hill crew. “There’s constant communication going on. We can always pick up where we left off.”

Additional One Tree Hill alum Sophia Bush, Antwon Taylor and Colin Fickes also attended the wedding. Morgan’s Supernatural’s costars Jared Padalecki and Ackles joined in the fun as well—the trio even got matching Supernatural tattoos during the reception.

Bush took to Instagram to share her warm wishes for the couple. “My Missy sister is a Mrs WIFE!” she wrote. “It was perfect. Just like them. @hilarieburton + @jeffreydeanmorgan here’s to mischief forever.”

This past weekend was the best of my entire life. There are dozens of thank yous I need to make. So bear with me over the next week as I gush over the amazing group of people who gave us this beautiful moment. But before we do any of that, Jeff and I just want to put it out there that WE GOT MARRIED! For real. We’ve lived as husband and wife for a decade. We’ve built a family, and a farm and found our community. For years, publications have reported that we got married in 2014 or 2015 and that I’ve been married and divorced before. All untrue. But WE knew our truth. So it felt silly to try and correct anything. Here’s the God’s honest fact: From the moment I met @jeffreydeanmorgan , he was my husband. Rather than make vows right out of the gate, we lived them. For over ten years. The good times and the bad. Standing up there with our children at our sides – celebrating all that has been – was bliss. I love you Jeffrey. I love our intimate group of friends and family who joined us. I love the various circles of loved ones who have supported us over the years. It was private and magical and everything I dreamed. So yeah. I’m Mrs. Morgan. 10.5.19

The wedding marks another milestone of the couple’s long standing relationship. They began dating after meeting in 2009 and have since welcomed two children together. “This past weekend was the best of my entire life,” Burton wrote on Instagram. “We’ve lived as husband and wife for a decade. We’ve built a family, and a farm and found our community… I love our intimate group of friends and family who joined us. I love the various circles of loved ones who have supported us over the years. It was private and magical and everything I dreamed. So yeah. I’m Mrs. Morgan. 10.5.19.”
