He definitely stepped up there! According to Jenna Dewan Tatum, her husband, Channing Tatum, had some liquid courage on his side when he first asked her out.
The actress recalled the beginning stages of her high-profile romance to Cosmopolitan in its January 2017 issue. The couple first met on the set of their now-beloved dance flick, Step Up, in 2005. At the time, Dewan Tatum didn’t think her handsome co-star was ready to be in a relationship, so she shut him down.
“It was two nights of being weird. We hadn’t even kissed,” the brunette beauty shared. “And then he went out partying with a bunch of dancers. His room was right above mine, and he came down drunk with a sombrero on, banging on my door.”
“He was like, ‘I couldn’t stop thinking about you. Let’s do this. I just want to be with you,’” Dewan Tatum continued. “From that point forward, we were together.”
The couple married in 2009, and now share a three-year-old daughter named Everly. Just this past July, the Tatums celebrated seven years of marriage.
In her latest interview, Dewan Tatum shed some insight on how she and her husband keep things steamy in their relationship. “…I’ve always been a very sexual person. We definitely have a very happy and healthy [sex life],” she elaborated to Cosmo. “Something about being a dancer connects you to your physical body. It’s primal, earthy, sexual energy by nature. You feel your body in a certain way. Channing is very much the same way. He’s very in tune with that.”

The Magic Mike actor frequently expresses his adoration for his wife in public. Just this past weekend, Tatum posted a scenic shot with his love and wrote: “I’m not sure if this woman is my Rainbow or my pot of gold but I’m lucky either way happy birthday cake baby!”
