There’s nothing like some fun in the sun. After Jennifer Lawrence married Cooke Maroney on October 19 (the most popular wedding day of the year), they jetted off to paradise. The couple traveled to the exclusive Nihi Sumba resort in Indonesia to celebrate their recent nuptials, according to People. The estate, which was named the best hotel in the world by Travel + Leisure in 2016 and 2017, is widely recognized for its posh villa accommodations.

The 27 villas span over 600 private acres and offer luxurious amenities, like plunge pools and open beach access. The actress and her art dealer husband stayed at the Raja Mandaka, one of the most exclusive spots on the island. The residence is the private home of the resort’s owner, Chris Burch, and is the estate’s largest residence. It has five bedrooms and offers guests a 19-meter lap pool and a private iced plunge pool. The house is available to book and has hosted other celebrities in recent years. In 2018, the resort hosted the wedding of Brody Jenner and Kaitlynn Carter, though the pair is no longer together.

A source told People that Lawrence and Maroney spent their time on the island enjoying the resort and horseback riding—but they also carved out time for others. According to the source, the philanthropic couple visited nearby Sumbanese villages, which the hotel supports through its charitable Sumba Foundation.

The hotel offers guests a wide array of activities and entertainment, so there’s no doubt the newlyweds stayed busy during their vacation. Those who love water activities can enjoy snorkeling, surfing, boating, spearfishing, kayaking and wakeboarding. On land, residents can go hiking and mountain biking—or  even opt for an open-air Land Rover Safari. The estate also has a high-end spa, which offers a full range of treatments from massages to daily yoga sessions. It even has an on-site chocolate factory, where guests can make their own sweet treats.

The report of the couple’s escape to paradise suggests they took their trip closely following their nuptials—a common trend among newlyweds. According to The Knot 2018 Real Weddings Study, 78 percent of all couples who wed last year jetted off to their honeymoon within a week of saying “I do.” Those who delay their honeymoons reported reasons such as work schedules, vacation availability, financial reasons and weather/seasonality.

However, the couple’s October wedding aligned perfectly with the dry season in Indonesia, making it a perfect time to celebrate their recent marriage. The ceremony took place at the historic Belcourt of Newport and consisted of 150 guests (including stars like Emma Stone, Amy Schumer and Adele). The couple made sure to personalize their wedding, paying homage to their unique love story and respective hometowns. Lawrence and Maroney got engaged in February 2019 after eight months of dating.
