They’re here! Jennifer Lopez and Alex Rodriguez have shared the first photos from their engagement. The multi-hyphenate and her new fiancé both took to Instagram Tuesday, March 12, to share snapshots from the former athlete’s dreamy, oceanfront proposal from this weekend.
The singer, 49, captioned the photos with her official engagement date of March 9, 2019. As evidenced by the photos, Lopez was clearly shocked when Rodriguez unexpectedly popped the question with a 15-carat, emerald-cut diamond ring.
Rodriguez posted a single image from the moment and cheekily added, “Locking it down. #futuremrsrodriguez.” The athlete-turned-entrepreneur joins 47 percent of couples who coordinate a photographer or videographer to document the proposal, according to The Knot’s most recent Jewelry & Engagement Study.
The dad of two, 43, posed the question at sunset in front of the aquamarine sea. For the special memory, the former Yankees player wore white slacks, sneakers and a blue crewneck sweater, while Lopez looked dreamy and ethereal—yes, practically bridal—in a flowy, white resort wear dress.
In the pics, the shocked Maid in Manhattan actress is seen gaping at her gorgeous new ring, which is valued at $1 million minimum, according to numerous experts. Rodriguez and Lopez both took to Instagram to announce their engagement after two years of dating.

This will be the fourth marriage for Lopez and Rodriguez’s second. The actress shares twins Emme and Max with her ex-husband Marc Anthony, while Rodriguez is dad to two girls, Ella and Natasha, with his former wife Cynthia Scurtis.
