Now there’s a way to look and feel like a real princess on your wedding day! Kate Middleton has long been a fan of Jenny Packham’s classic and classy gowns, donning her designs for official state dinners and other royal engagements alike.
Just last month, Packham released a new bridal collection, and perhaps unsurprisingly, the very glamorous, romantic looks that debuted at London Fashion Week looked rather familiar—in fact, not unlike the colorful gowns that the Duchess has favored in the past, though of course in cream and off-white hues.
One off-shoulder gown with gossamer half-sleeves looks reminiscent of a midnight blue, chiffon number that Middleton wore on at least three separate occasions, one of which was a glitzy gala dinner in December 2014. The elegant gown featured a figure-hugging wraparound front with a deep V, paired with a black sash to accentuate her tiny waist.
Packham’s bridal equivalent similarly features a sash around the waist, though the runway look included a pale blue ribbon in place of a darker color. Both floor-length gowns have a whimsical feel to them, with flowy skirts that would likely billow in the wind.
Another gown that looks similar to a Middleton favorite is a sheath gown with fluttery sleeves and a sheer overlay over the top of the dress, forming a slightly boxy top silhouette. Middleton wore a Packham gown with a similar shape and vibe back in July 2016 for a fundraiser for East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices.
The gown in question was a pearlescent rose gown with sequins spilling down the front of the dress; Packham’s bridal equivalent doesn’t have as much sparkle, but the elegance is definitely there!
