She’s back! Jessica Chastain and her husband Gian Luca Passi de Preposulo made their first official appearance as a newlywed couple after marrying in June.
The husband and wife pair attended a screening of the movie Detroit in New York City on Tuesday August 1. Chastain was there to support director Kathryn Bigelow, who worked with the actress on the film Zero Dark Thirty.
The Oscar nominee happily showed off her new wedding band alongside her handsome husband. Chastain and de Preposulo—a count and a fashion exec—got married near Venice at the groom’s family estate in Italy. The luxurious wedding was attended by Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt, both of whom have worked alongside the bride on movies in the past.
While the day was intended to be private, photos later leaked. “Did you hear? Im off the market,” Chastain, 40, subsequently wrote on social media. “Gianluca & I got married! We wanted privacy & aren’t selling photos but Ill post something in the future.”
The actress called out paparazzi photos from the wedding that were taken over an aerial no-fly zone. “Thank you for the sweet comments about my wedding,” she continued. “I love you and it was a beautiful day. I am going to ask you to please stop sharing the photos. Helicopters disregarded a [no-fly] zone & took those pics during the ceremony.”
The two enjoyed an extended honeymoon in Africa.
The Help star and the de Preposulo have been together since 2012.
