Oops! Jessie James Decker and Eric Decker celebrated their third wedding anniversary this week, but they needed a little reminder about the special occasion.
The couple nearly forgot their wedding anniversary on Wednesday, June 22, as evidenced by a text conversation between Jessie and her mom Karen Parker. In a screenshot posted to James’s Instagram, her mom writes, “3 years tomorrow” — but the country star seems to have no idea what her parent is alluding to.
“What is? Hahahahahaha we are awful,” James responded to the seemingly-cryptic message. “Oh babe we are bad this,” she added, tagging her husband on Instagram.
James, 28, and the NFL hunk, 29, got married on June 22, 2013, in Castle Rock, Colorado, and the wedding was documented beautifully on their reality series Eric & Jessie: Game On.
After the nudge, both parties took to social media to celebrate their love. Decker shared a throwback wedding photo from their ceremony at the St. Francis of Assisi Catholic church.
“Happy anniversary mi amor!! 3 amazing years filled with love, adventure and craziness,” Eric captioned the gorgeous black-and-white snapshot. The couple were captured walking hand-in-hand through a sea of wedding guest-blown bubbles taking the place of rice. “Love you to the moon and back!”
Following her husband’s lead – and her mother’s anniversary reminder text – Jessie also shared a beautiful photo from their summer wedding. This time Eric had his arms around Jessie, sharing their first dance as husband and wife.

“Happy 3 years of marriage to my soulmate,” she captioned the romantic image, “2 kids and many more happy memories. Love you sugad @edeck87.”
Meanwhile, James’s younger sister Sydney Rae James, recently got engaged to Anthony Bass. The younger James sibling opened up to The Knot about the mountaintop proposal in an exclusive interview. Sydney also recently shared details about her bridal shower, which was hosted by her big sister and Matron of Honor.
James and her husband share two young kids, Vivianne Rose Decker, 2, and Eric, 9 months. The singer is also working on a new album and recently released a new single called “Lights Down Low.”
