That’s amore! Newlyweds Jim Parsons and Todd Spiewak are enjoying a romantic honeymoon in Capri, Italy, following their New York City nuptials.
The Big Bang Theory actor, 44, and his longtime love made their union official inside Midtown Manhattan’s legendary Rainbow Room on Saturday, May 13, before jetting off to the Positano Coast to celebrate their newlywed status.
The lovebirds were spotted by photographers on Monday chatting on a boat while basking in the island sun. Later, the pair enjoyed a romantic meal for two outdoors.
Parsons hasn’t posted anything directly from the honeymoon, but took to Instagram this weekend to share a photo of his cocktail. “Well, alright,” he wrote, “I’ll play…”
By now, Parsons has likely successfully fought off the bug he caught from his wedding festivities. “It was the latest I stayed up in many years,” the Hidden Figures actor told Extra in the days following the ceremony. “I’ll be honest with you—I’m still paying for it. I got a cold, I was at the doctor earlier and got antibiotics.”
Parsons and Spiewak have been together for 15 years. Parsons publicly announced he was gay in a New York Times profile in 2012 and has managed to keep his personal life largely private. On his wedding day, however, the actor posted several intimate images on Instagram.
One sweet snap features the grooms and their beloved wedding planner, Melissa McNeeley, who played triple duty on the big day. “She’s our best friend, she was our wedding planner, she was our officiant and she played all three parts brilliantly,” Parsons wrote, alongside a photo of the trio. “Thank you and love you, @melissamcneeley.”
