Another weekend and another celebrity engagement. A-list actors Joaquin Phoenix and Rooney Mara are engaged, according to Us Weekly.
The celeb couple, who fell in love on the set of Mary Magdalene, started dating in 2017. Mara was photographed recently traveling and wearing a suspicious bauble on her left ring finger. The piece, an atypical jewel with an art deco-inspired diamond, did not make an appearance this past Friday, when the pair was photographed at a karate class.
However, a source confirmed that the two are getting married.
Both Phoenix and Mara have previously worked together, including 2013’s Her.
Prior to her romance with Phoenix, Mara was in a six-year relationship with director Charlie McDowell. She is the younger sister of actress Kate Mara, who is married to actor Jamie Bell.
