He knows all about those cubes of cheese! Actor John Krasinski shared yet another amazing story involving his wife, Emily Blunt, and her breakout film, The Devil Wears Prada.
Krasinski told E! News this week that he concealed his obsession with the 2006 movie from his wife in the beginning stages of their relationship.
“We had just started dating,”the Hollars actor and director recalled. “And she had come over to my house. She popped by — in between some things — and I was watching it. She opened the door and I flipped the channel and she looked at me like, ‘Were you just watching porn?’…I think it was better for me at the time for her to think I was watching porn than watching The Devil Wears Prada for the seventy-fifth time.”
However, he later fessed up to Blunt about his deep appreciation for the film, co-starring Meryl Streep and Anne Hathaway. “There was one day when it was on and I said it was so good,” he shared. “And Emily said, ‘Have you seen this movie?’ I said, ‘A lot of times.’ She said, ‘That’s so sweet, but how many times?’ Luckily, we had been dating for about a year so there was a lot of trust built up and I said, ‘Like, 75.’”
This isn’t the first time Krasinski has expressed his love for The Devil Wears Prada. The Office alum recently told Elle in an interview that it was on his radar even before he was set up with his future wife.
“I can honestly say, before I met Emily, it was The Devil Wears Prada. That one dosed me in a really big way,” Krasinski revealed. “Everybody looks like they’re having a blast. Everybody’s wearing great clothes. When we first started dating, I didn’t know that she was coming over and I was watching it, and she was like, ‘Oh, what are you watching?’—and I quickly changed the channel to something dude-like.”
The couple married in 2010 and share two sweet girls, Hazel and Violet.
