We know what we’re watching this weekend. The one and only Julia Roberts recently joined Instagram where she has slowly unveiled her social media prowess, expressing support for her niece Emma Roberts in addition to partaking in integral pop culture moments like the recent World Cup. Now, America’s Sweetheart herself has discovered Flashback Friday, and she certainly pulled one out from the artillery on July 20.
Roberts posted a photo—a shot of herself in a wedding dress alongside producer and writer Richard Curtis—from the set of her beloved romantic comedy, Notting Hill. The image itself was filmed specifically for the final scenes in the award-winning 1999 movie, which saw Roberts’ movie star character Anna Scott and bookshop owner Will Thacker falling in love.
The end scene itself shows the unlikely pair getting married, gracing the red carpet for a glamorous premiere, and altogether living a full yet lowkey life in London as parents and happily-married spouses.
“#FBF with the heavenly Richard Curtis during the end scene of his film Notting Hill,” Roberts captioned the photo on Instagram. Emma adorably added, “LOVE.”
The film itself birthed one of the most quotable movie moments in ‘90s history: “I’m just a girl, standing in front of a boy, asking him to love her.”
Curtis is the same force behind smash hits like Love Actually and Four Weddings and a Funeral.
