The honeymooning Hough and the huz! A week after marrying in Northern Idaho, newlyweds Julianne Hough and Brooks Laich set off for their honeymoon on Sunday, July 16—and there’s internet on the exotic island that will be their home for the getaway.
The Safe Haven actress, 28, and the NHL player, 34, both posted a photo of themselves waiting to board their flight, passports in hand. “We gone,” Hough wrote. The artistic airport photo—a perfect fit for #TheKnotRings—features both husband and wife showing off their brand-new accessories. Laich wears a simple gold band, while Hough sports her eye-catching, oval-shaped engagement sparkler stacked elegantly with a gold wedding ring.

Immediately upon arrival at their honeymoon spot, both Laich and the Dancing With the Stars judge posted photos of their dreamy island destination, which includes crystal clear ocean views, sweeping sandy beaches, and Instagram-friendly photo opportunities. Hough took full advantage of the latter by sharing a bikini photo of herself reveling in her surroundings.
Laich, equally enamored with the destination, followed up with an artistic photo of himself focusing on his wife through his wedding band. “I see you Mrs Laich! #honeymoon,” the athlete noted on his Instagram account.

Laich and Hough married in the bride’s family home of Coeur d’Alene. “My best friend, my love of my life, and my new husband @brookslaich and I brought our family and closest friends together to have fun, encourage love, and celebrate our marriage!” the bride subsequently shared on Instagram. “I’m so grateful I get to spend forever with this incredibly kind, thoughtful, strong and adventurous man. I’m the luckiest woman in the world to be your wife!”

The couple celebrated their wedding with a few hundred of their loved ones. One of Hough’s bridesmaids, fellow actress Nina Dobrev, posted a sweet note last Friday, July 14, in celebration of the newlyweds.
“I knew that her cheeks would hurt the next day because she was grinning so wide all day. And they did,” Dobrev wrote of the wedding day. “Julianne’s smile never faded, not for a single second. That’s because she was marrying the man of her dreams, undoubtedly her soul mate.”
