She’s truly one less lonely girl now! Superstars Justin Bieber and Hailey Baldwin are reportedly married.
The dynamic duo supposedly took the next big step in their relationship by making their marriage official on Thursday, September 13, according to People. Prior to the revelation, most outlets believed Bieber and Baldwin’s trip to the courthouse was a simple (yet still significant) stop to pick up their marriage license.
“They went ahead and did it without listening to anyone,” a source told the magazine. And while legally wed at the courthouse, they will hold a formal ceremony and a traditional wedding before their family members and friends at a later date.
The couple raised eyebrows Thursday when they were spotted at the Manhattan borough marriage courthouse. According to several outlets, the pair obtained their license while there and TMZ even reported that Bieber commented to an official: “Thanks for keeping it on the DL.”
In New York City, a couple must first wait 24 hours before submitting their marriage license (unlike other states and municipalities that allow no wait time.) The marriage license process requires both parties to appear in person at a borough office (there are five in NYC). Bieber and Baldwin, of course, walked hand-in-hand into the building. Upon obtaining the license, the document is valid for submission throughout the next 60 days.
Interestingly enough, Baldwin spoke out about her wedding ceremony on Thursday, the same day she supposedly legally wed Bieber. The model explained that she already has a wedding planner and a dress designer, though that portion hasn’t been completed just yet.
“I just picture lights strung everywhere,” she told The Cut. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”
The pair announced their engagement in July. “My heart is COMPLETELY and FULLY YOURS and I will ALWAYS put you first!” Bieber wrote. “You are the love of my life Hailey Baldwin and I wouldn’t want to spend it with anybody else.”
