You better Belieb it. After weeks of speculation, pop superstar Justin Bieber verbally confirmed this weekend that Hailey Baldwin is his wife during a museum visit in Canada.
The couple made their marriage official on September 13, during a casual visit to the Manhattan courthouse to get their license. Baldwin subsequently took to Twitter to deny the chatter, but legally speaking—yes, the couple is married.
Currently, the two are in Ontario, where they stopped by the Stratford Perth Museum on Sunday to observe an exhibit that was all about Bieber. (His connection to Stratford begins with his grandparents, who live in the region.)
Us Weekly pointed to the museum’s Instagram post from the couple’s visit, which read: “Justin very graciously introduced Hailey as his wife.”
TMZ also reported this week that the pair did not sign a prenuptial agreement prior to making their marriage official. (Bieber’s current value of $250 million far outweighs that of Hailey Baldwin.) However, the outlet reports that the pair will likely explore the possibility of a postnuptial agreement, something that couples seek after the fact especially when children are potentially involved.
The two will also still plan a formal wedding ceremony believed to be held in Bieber’s native Canada. “I just picture lights strung everywhere,” Baldwin previously told The Cut. “I think having it in the woods would be so beautiful.”
The pair shocked everyone this summer when news of their engagement broke. However, the new spouses didn’t surprise their friends and family members, who’ve witnessed their love story for years. Age is also far from an issue. (Bieber is 24 and Baldwin is 21.)
“My sister was 24 when she got married, and my parents also got married when they were young, too,” the model expressed. “I see no reason to wait. When you know it’s right, it’s right.”
