Jen and Justin forever. Actor Justin Theroux explained in a new interview on Monday, September 26, why his marriage to Jennifer Aniston works — and the reason is rather simple. Entertainment Tonight first asked the Girl on the Train actor, 45, whether “such thing as a perfect couple” exists.
“I think that there are couples that can work really well together,” Theroux replied. “The projection of a perfect couple, of course, is entirely a different way. There’s no such thing as a perfect couple, but there are couples that can be good together.”
The Leftovers actor was then asked how this could be applicable to his marriage to Aniston. “We appreciate each other’s sense of humor,” Theroux said of his high-profile marriage. “We respect one another, and we get along.”
Theroux and Aniston dated for four years before marrying in a private ceremony last August. Seventy of the couple’s closest friends and family members witnessed the nuptials, which took place in the couple’s Bel Air mansion.
In an interview with Yahoo! Style last October, Aniston discussed the special occasion and how they kept it hush-hush. “It was amazing. We were determined to keep it just private and to ourselves,” she told Bobbi Brown. “And the thing is, we haven’t even seen pictures.”
Famed photographer Terry Richardson shot the wedding. “It was just everything we wanted it to be,” she recalled. “And [we are] very happy that we didn’t have to see our faces on the cover of a magazine.”
