Maybe she can help him out with the next project? Justin Theroux and the cast of The Leftovers will say goodbye to the HBO series this weekend, and there’s one person in the actor’s life—wife Jennifer Aniston—who is likely ecstatic to finally discover the outcome of the show.
“I can say that I was very happy with the way the show ended,” Theroux, who plays Kevin Garvey, told Good Morning America on Wednesday, May 31. “Enormously.”
Aniston, however, knows nothing. “She’s a fan of the show, so she didn’t want any spoilers. She wouldn’t even run lines with me,” Theroux said. “Jennifer does not know what’s gonna happen. She’s a fan of the show, so she doesn’t want any spoilers.”
The couple married at their Bel-Air mansion in 2015. “It’s so much more special when it’s just your closest friends and family and it’s lovely,” Theroux previously told Entertainment Tonight. “We wanted it to be a peaceful environment, you don’t want it to be hectic.”
Jimmy Kimmel memorably officiated the intimate and private moment–and it turns out that the late night host is still very close to his longtime friends. In fact, he and Theroux are currently developing a project together.
“We both came up with this idea of, ‘Wouldn’t it be fun to bring back old sitcoms in some way.’ So we looked into the legalities of it and it’s relatively easy to sort of get old scripts from old sitcoms,” Theroux concluded to GMA this week. “Really old, like ‘Diff’rent Strokes,’ or ‘Seinfeld’ and get really funny actors like Will Ferrell and do them live.”
The Leftovers finale will air on HBO on Sunday, June 4.
