Justin Timberlake was one of the many husbands across America to honor his wife, Jessica Biel, on Sunday, May 14, for Mother’s Day.
The superstar singer took to Instagram to share a heartwarming photo of Biel guiding their 2-year-old son, Silas, along the shore of a beach at sunset.
“I marvel at you,” Timberlake wrote. “It’s so hard to put into words EVERYTHING a Mother does. And, you do it with such grace. Thank you for giving me the greatest gift and continuing to show him what it means to be a good person in the world. You make me realize how much my own Mother has done for me. #HappyMothersDay to you, my love. And, to my wonderful Mother and all the Moms all over the world: Y’all really DO RUN THIS… I bow down to you. –JT.”
The couple welcomed their son in April 2015, and everything subsequently shifted for the Hollywood pair. “I had a son. It really affected me. It influenced me and I felt like I wanted to make something that I could share with him,” Timberlake said in a Q&A in February. “I guess if I’d die from anything, it may be from pride after having a child.”
Biel and Timberlake will celebrate their five-year wedding anniversary in October 2017. They recently made headlines after Biel revealed that she essentially predicted she would marry the former boy band member.
“We didn’t kiss for a very long time because he was on tour,” the 7th Heaven alum told James Corden in January. “And we were talking on the phone, like normal pre-teens do. We were just chatting on the phone for hours. So, we never really kissed for a very long time.”
However, she knew Timberlake was special. “I have this email that is really funny… that I sent to my producing partner,” she said in the same interview. “It’s literally, like, ‘Okay, I can’t make that meeting so I have to cancel. Also, I know I will marry this man. You can’t tell anybody but your husband.’ …I don’t know what he did that day, but I have this hilarious email.”
