Kacey Musgraves is a married woman. The country singer exchanged vows with fiancé Ruston Kelly on Saturday, October 14, in Tennessee.
Kelly teased the life milestone on Instagram on Friday, writing: “Last night as a bachelor. Finally ready to throw in that towel cuz I actually found the real thing. Couldn’t be more proud to have all our family and friends here to honor this new badass union.”
Musgraves, meanwhile, posted a throwback photo of herself wearing a wedding dress from her childhood. She added in a follow-up post, “This has been one insane year. I can somehow say I’ve survived the stress of remodeling an old house (and living in the construction zone), writing and making an album, AND planning a wedding ALL AT THE SAME TIME!”
The “Follow Your Arrow” hitmaker, 29, and Kelly got engaged over the holidays on Christmas Eve in her Golden, Texas, childhood home. “We had just been at my parent’s house randomly having a night of watching bittersweet old home tapes of all these beautiful family memories that were made in this little, old country house I grew up in that I now have,” she shared at the time. “…It was so special. Of all the places in the world I’ve gotten to see, nowhere could mean more than this happening in tiny Golden, Texas in the house that completely made me who I am.”
In her sentimental post, Musgraves wrote that she couldn’t wait to record new memories in her new home with Kelly. “I’m glad these walls can’t talk because we knocked most of them down,” Musgraves expressed. “But I’m looking forward to it being a place that new memories will be made in. A place filled with laughter. And good dinners. The occasional not-so-good dinners. Blueberry messes and beautiful songs. Home.”
