Duchess of Cambridge Kate Middleton and Prince William once again captivating the world’s attention this week while touring though Poland and Germany (with adorable Prince George and Princess Charlotte in tow) for their 2017 Royal Tour. The impeccably-dressed family members pulled numerous summertime soiree-appropriate looks, with Princess Kate opting for bright pops of color, cool silhouettes, and printed pieces appropriate for both indoor and outdoor occasions. Below, The Knot rounds up a select few ensembles from the tour that are perfect options for wedding guests.
A Pretty Printed Piece
Middleton looked gorgeous in green during an evening reception at Claerchen’s Ballhaus dance hall in Berlin on Thursday, July 20. The Duchess chose a printed midi-length dress from German-born designer Markus Lupfer’s pre-fall 2017 collection, expertly paired with a metallic clutch and a statement belt. She pulled the entire outfit together with a pair of stone-hued, scalloped Prada sandals. Prince William accompanied the Duchess in a tailored, light blue blazer over navy slacks and a crisp white button-down shirt.
Both the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s outfits are ideal for late-afternoon into evening weddings.
The Off-the-Shoulder Maxi
The Duchess wore a red, shoulder-baring Alexander McQueen maxi dress on Wednesday, July 19, while attending a garden party at the British ambassador’s home in Berlin honoring the Queen’s birthday. Her entire ensemble was perfectly on-trend for summer 2017, and an incredibly appropriate choice for an outdoor ceremony and reception. The Duchess paired the cherry piece with the same pair of scalloped shoes by Prada, and tassel statement earrings designed by Simone Rocha.
A Lilac Fit-and-Flare Frock
The couple’s tour in Germany came to a stylish close on Friday, July 21, with the Duchess looking lovely in lavender. The mom of two chose a fit and flare piece by one of her favorite designers, Emilia Wickstead, opting for a cool lilac shade which eases well into summer wedding palettes. This particular piece comes from the British designer’s fall 2015 collection, and was paired with a bright red clutch by Anya Hindmarch and suede, camel-hued, pointed-toe pumps.
A Pop of Sunshine
It was an overcast, rainy morning in Heidelberg when the Duchess stepped out in a bright lemon piece by Jenny Packham. The dress, a bespoke piece that included an A-line skirt and lace overlay, was crafted by one of her favorite designers. She paired the colorful look with espadrilles by Monsoon and fitting statement earrings by Oscar de la Renta.
A Fierce, Floral Dress
Middleton looked beautiful while stepping out at the Dlugi Targ market in Gdansk in a floral Erdem set from the British designer’s spring 2017 collection. The Duchess chose a figure-flattering midi skirt and top both in the Hurst Rose print—which includes a plethora of festive florals—and accessorized the separates with a nude, ostrich clutch by Etui. The look is an easy and elegant option for those who want to celebrate and toast love and marriage this season.
