Sometimes, all the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge want is delicious takeout and quality television. On top of charming fans while filling in as guest-DJs on BBC 1 Radio on Friday, April 21, both Prince William and Kate Middleton shared what their lives at home are like when they’re not stepping out for royal functions and engagements.
“We’re both actually quite keen on box sets,” William, 34, said on the program. The couple’s favorite recent shows include two mega-successful cable shows. “Homeland, we’re big fans of that,” he noted. “And Game Of Thrones.”
What’s a romantic binge-watching session without some takeout? The Duchess said they “absolutely” order food and it’s typically, “curry, definitely.”
“I’m not so good with spicy food,” her husband added. “It doesn’t usually get ordered to the palace to be honest. Normally, someone goes and picks it up.”
Don’t expect either to binge-watch in their formalwear. While the duo is considered one of the best-dressed couples in the world, they opt for loungewear to relax in privacy. “I’ve got my comfy clothes I wear at home,” said Prince William. “Definitely.”
Along with Homeland and Game of Thrones, the two are also accustomed to watching children’s shows with their son, Prince George. “You have to pretend you’re really interested because George gets very upset if you’re not showing due diligence to the characters,” the proud dad of two added.
