Mr. and Mrs. Verlander are glowing! A few days after marrying Justin Verlander, supermodel Kate Upton shared the first official photo from her Italy wedding to the baseball player on Monday, November 6.

“I feel so lucky that I got to marry my best friend!!” Upton, 24, wrote on Instagram. “Thank you to our family and friends for making this weekend so fun and magical!”

Accompanying the bride’s big announcement was the first snapshot taken by photographer KT Merry—a gorgeous photo of the couple grinning after being pronounced husband and wife. Upton looked resplendent in a long-sleeve, lace gown, and left her blonde tresses parted to the side in loose waves. The groom looked dapper in a pinstripe black suit paired with a black bowtie and white pocket square.

“Happy wife happy life!” Verlander wrote on Instagram with the same photo. “What an amazing beginning to our journey together! @kateupton #justmarried.”

The couple chose lush greenery and blush-and-white flowers as part of their wedding decor. The ceremony itself was held in Tuscany. Paparazzi photos taken by TMZ showed the pair holding wine glasses—when in wine country, right?—surrounded by their wedding party.

Merry revealed some of the details that went into the wedding day. The couple hired wedding planner and designer Lisa Vorce, who’s also responsible for Chrissy Teigen and John Legend’s Lake Como wedding back in 2013. The floral arrangements and display items were executed by Tuscany Flowers. Finally, the gown was designed by Valentino.

The couple has so much to celebrate as of late, including Verlander’s World Series win with the Houston Astros. The athlete, however, missed the team’s parade on Friday to jet to Italy for his wedding.
