Did you expect one of the world’s top models to keep it to one wedding dress? It’s been a few months since Kate Upton and Justin Verlander married in a luxurious Tuscan wedding, but the couple is still in wonder over their magical day.
Just this past week, the bride took to Instagram to unleash even more images from her destination wedding in Italy. The couple married at the lavish Rosewood Castiglion del Bosco in November 2017, days after Verlander’s World Series victory with the Houston Astros.
The bride looked gorgeous in a Maison Valentino gown for the day itself—and she dazzled that same day in a second wedding dress that was made for the party.
The model posted several images of her “late night look”—a sheer, off-white, Grecian-inspired, figure-flattering gown featuring rows of sequins and draping. Upton pulled back her tresses into sleek, side-parted bun and accessorized her sparkly ensemble with diamond chandelier earrings.
Upton also posted a slew of additional images taken by her photographer, KT Merry, whose work was subsequently featured in Vogue. “For my ceremony dress, I had the pleasure of collaborating with the fantastic team at Valentino,” Upton shared with the mag. “They are the best at creating delicate, beautiful lace and details, and their Italian heritage kept the fashion and feel authentic to our venue. The design process was extremely collaborative, so I was able to really include my personal style and create my dream dress.”
Lisa Vorce, who’s planned weddings for numerous celebs including John Legend and Chrissy Teigen, took the lead on designing and coordinating Upton’s nuptials. Tuscany Flowers excited the florals, while the tablescape (a gorgeous combination of blue and white decor) was provided by Tableset Luxury Rentals. The couple’s overall reception dinner was held in a romantic greenhouse by Michelangelo Greenhouse.
