Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are getting married!
The singer announced her engagement to the actor early Friday, February 15, following Valentine’s Day, allowing the couple to fall right in line with proposal season.
“Full bloom,” Perry wrote in Instagram alongside a close-up of her new ring.
Bloom added on his page, “Lifetimes.”
Perry and Bloom first met in January 2016 at a Golden Globes afterparty. Cameras were even there to document the couple’s flirtatious night out, with the relationship turning official several months later after photographers captured the pair on vacation in Kauai, Hawaii.
After about a year of dating, the couple took a break in 2017. They reconciled several months later and later settled into a steady relationship in the last two years.
Before sharing her engagement news, Perry posted a photo of the Pirates of the Caribbean actor cozied up in bed with two dogs. “Will u be my teenage dream?” she wrote.
“She’s a remarkable human being, actually,” Bloom said of Perry to The Times UK in 2018.
“I wouldn’t have imagined anything happening. And, you know, when you get hit sideways you get hit sideways,” he continued. “You don’t pick who you fall in love with.”
It will the the second marriage for Perry, who was previously with comedian Russell Brand for 14 months. It will also be the second marriage for Bloom, who shares a son with his ex-wife Miranda Kerr.
