You can call it blooming bling. Ahead of Orlando Bloom’s proposal to Katy Perry, the Pirates of the Caribbean actor secured an engagement ring that was perfectly in line with the singer’s bubbly, eccentric, dynamic and sweet personality.
Bloom, 41, proposed to Perry, 34, with what appears to be an oval-shape pink center stone surrounded by a halo of eight large, white diamonds. The ring itself is set in yellow gold while the center stone is about 4 carats in size.
According to Brilliant Earth VP of Strategy Kathryn Money, the center gemstone is valued between $25,000 to $50,000. The stone is still unclear, but the expert believes it’s either a ruby or a vivid pink diamond set in a halo of colorless diamonds.
If that is the case, the total value of the ring would be estimated anywhere between $500,000 to $2 million. According to WP Diamonds (via E! News), this rare ring could even be valued up to $5 million.

Perry and Bloom both took to Instagram to announce their engagement over Valentine’s Day 2019. The couple both shared the same selfie of themselves huddled up beneath a sea of red heart-shaped balloons with Perry’s ring front and center.
“Full bloom,” the “Dark Horse” hitmaker wrote, while Bloom added: “Lifetimes.”
The couple first met at a Golden Globes afterparty in January 2016. They subsequently started a whirlwind relationship that experienced a brief hiatus in 2017. The couple reconciled and were in a fully exclusive relationship again by 2018.
Perry has long remained private about her romance to Bloom, telling Vogue Australia in 2018: “Of course, I love my relationship, but that is one part of me, and I don’t want any part of what I do to be diminished.”
