Katy Perry and Orlando Bloom are about to have a big year ahead, especially since the currently-engaged couple is expecting their first child together. The “Roar” singer artfully dropped the life announcement as she debuted the new music video for her latest single, “Never Worn White,” late Wednesday evening.

In it, Perry wears a white gown as she debuts her baby bump. She sings: “Cause I’ve never worn white/But I wanna get it right/Yeah, I really wanna try with you. No, I’ve never worn white/But I’m standin’ here tonight/Cause I really wanna say ‘I do.’”

For fans who were still left confused, Perry herself confirmed the pregnancy in an Instagram Live following the video’s debut. The multiple-time Grammy winner called it “the longest secret” she’s ever kept.

Perry also joked about the long-kept secret via Twitter, writing: “Omg so glad I don’t have to suck it in anymore.” She added, “Or carry around a big purse lol.” On Instagram, the future mom hinted at the baby’s arrival in the summer.

This will be Perry’s first child and Bloom’s second as he’s dad to 9-year-old son Flynn, whom he co-parents with ex-wife Miranda Kerr.

The couple, who got engaged during a romantic helicopter ride in February 2019, was expected to marry by the end of that year. They surprisingly delayed their wedding, which many initially believed would take place over the holidays. Fans were given more clarity this week considering the couple is expecting a little one.

In a recent interview with Stellar Magazine, in fact, Perry referred to herself as a “bridechilla as opposed to a bridezilla.”

“Orlando and I are united with our approach,” she added. “It’s not about the party, it’s about the coming together of people who will hold us accountable when things get really hard. Those are just the facts when you’re with someone who challenges you to be your best self.”
