This Was the Sweetest Moment From Key & Peele Comedian Keegan-Michael Key’s Wedding

Never a dull moment at a Key & Peele wedding! Actor Keegan-Michael Key, perhaps best known as one half of the comedy duo Key and Peele, celebrated his marriage to Hollywood producer and director Elisa Pugliese on Saturday, June 9, one day after the pair got married at their home.

The Saturday festivities took place at One World Observatory in NYC, and featured a star-studded guest list of pals excited to help fete the newlyweds in proper city style, aka a snazzy black tie reception.

Best. Day. Ever.

In attendance were some of Hollywood’s biggest and brightest, including Comedy Central pal and costar Jordan Peele, Stephen Colbert, Cobie Smulders, Paul Rudd, Michael Strahan, Aasif Mandvi, Erika Christensen, Fred Savage, SNL’s Taran Killam, Robert Kennedy Jr. and Cheryl Hines.

Guests noshed on passed hors d’oeuvres, fresh sushi, and a smorgasbord of meats with a steak carving station. The couple’s five-tier light blue wedding cake (with edible sugar paste flowers!) was designed by Ron Ben-Israel Cakes.

The sweetest part of the night came toward the end: during the dancing portion of the reception, Key couldn’t resist taking part to make the night an even more memorable one, hopping onstage to join NYC band The Barnstorm at one point to sing a soulful rendition of “Tennessee Whiskey” to serenade his new bride. Rudd and Killam followed up Key’s musical outburst with their own song-and-dance, a duet of Oasis song “Don’t Look Back in Anger” that was an instant hit among the attendees.

According to People, Questlove then deejayed throughout the rest of the night, keeping guests on their feet and dancing into the early hours of Sunday morning.

“It’s a truly amazing thing when you can find someone who brings happiness and joy to your life,” Key told People. “And more importantly, helps you to share that happiness and joy with others. Before I met her, I didn’t even know that was possible.”

Key and Pugliese got engaged last November after going public with their relationship last spring, stepping out on the red carpet together at the 2017 Emmys.
