They called “Dibs”—on each other. Country superstar Kelsea Ballerini wed Morgan Evans this weekend nearly a year after they got engaged.
The “Love Me Like You Mean It” singer married Evans in an intimate destination wedding ceremony in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico, on Saturday, December 2, according to People. Ballerini looked resplendent in a simple, lace-embellished, gown by Berta.
According to the mag, the couple exchanged rings by David Yurman that included engraved and customized messages inside the bands.
Late Sunday, December 3, Ballerini posted an image from a beach destination—the first post-wedding photo featured herself cuddling up to her husband. “Mr & Mrs. Evans,” she expressed.
The couple got engaged last Christmas, nine months after they first met at a country music awards show in spring 2016. The Australian singer popped the question in Nashville over pancakes at home.
“It was a special moment,” Evans told People of the holiday proposal. “It was just right.”
The planning journey was relatively straightforward for the couple. Ballerini managed to find her dress in July-with the help of her bridesmaids. She also celebrated her bridal shower a few months before the wedding amongst friends like Lady Antebellum’s Hillary Scott.
