Kevin Hart Is Put to the Test Before His Wedding: Watch Him on ‘Live With Kelly!’

Here comes the groom! Kevin Hart appeared on Live with Kelly! on Thursday June 16, and shared some new details about his upcoming wedding to Eniko Parrish. He and Ripa also played a fun game called “I Do and I Don’t” with The Knot’s co-founder Carley Roney.

“I am getting married. Sorry, ladies!” Hart joked on Thursday. “I’m locking the chocolate up. I’m locking it up! I’m putting it in the freezer! I am getting married.”

The Central Intelligence actor, 36, proposed to Parrish back in 2014, and the two are finally set to exchange vows in August. Earlier this week, Hart told Jimmy Kimmel that he was vehemently opposed to getting involved in the wedding planning process, but somehow, he’s now made key decisions on napkins, floral arrangements and more. He echoed similar sentiments to Ripa on Thursday, saying he wanted Parrish to handle the overarching details.

“What I’ve told my fiancee is that, ‘I want you to have an amazing day and I want to be the best man possible,’” Hart recalled of their initial conversation. “‘Which is why I want to stay out of it.’”

Producers flashed a photo of Parrish across the screen and Ripa observed her beauty. “More importantly, [my fiancee] has a great heart,” Hart proudly replied. “My lady’s heart is pure that’s why I’m excited about making her my wife.”

After gushing about his future wife, the comedian and Ripa tested their wedding etiquette knowledge with Roney, who officiated a faux-wedding between the two. In order for the couple to proceed down the aisle, they each had to correctly answer the questions posed by Roney about proper conduct as guests.

The questions were tricky and included common hypotheticals like, “If Kelly brings a wedding guest, does she have to double the price for a wedding gift?” and “Does Kelly have up to one year to send a wedding gift?”
