While Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are eagerly anticipating the arrival of their baby, another royal couple is planning another big life event: a wedding that will take place at Windsor Castle one day apart from when the Duke and the Duchess of Sussex married in 2018.
Lady Gabriella Windsor and fiancé Thomas Kingston will wed on May 18, 2019, in the very same chapel where Markle and Harry wed, followed by Princess Eugenie and Jack Brooksbank months later. The venue, St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle, can hold thousands of people, but the Windsor wedding will be slightly more low-key in terms of guest list and expectations.
According to People, Lady Gabriella (“Ella” to close friends) and Kingston’s nuptials will not be open to the public like the other two nuptials. “It will be a private wedding for family and friends,” an insider told People.
Like Harry and Meghan, the future bride and groom will be hosting their evening reception at the Frogmore House, located very close to the Sussex’s current home of Frogmore Cottage.
The bride is the daughter of Queen Elizabeth II’s cousin, Prince Michael of Kent. The family announced her engagement in September after the couple got engaged in August. “Prince and Princess Michael of Kent are delighted to announce the engagement of their daughter Lady Gabriella Windsor to Mr. Thomas Kingston,” the Buckingham Palace wrote in a statement at the time.
