You can’t take the country out of the girl. Actress Laura Bell Bundy married her longtime love, Thom Hinkle, on Saturday, June 3, in a country-themed ceremony. The actress—best known for her lead roles in the Broadway musicals Hairspray and Legally Blonde—exchanged vows with the TBS executive at a horse racetrack in Arcadia, California, according to People.

Bundy, 36, enlisted event planner Sherine Zaza to bring her wedding vision to life. The bride wore a custom Sherri Hill strapless gown with intricate lace, a sweetheart neckline, and a long, mermaid-style train. “I knew I wanted a dress that was more sexy and slinky than ‘Cinderella goofy’ or big,” the Anger Management actress told the mag. “The dress is elegant with some beading detail and also has a simplicity to it, which I wanted.”
Although the couple first announced their engagement in December 2015, Bundy waited until April this year to meet with the dress designer. Surprisingly, the actress received the gown by mid-May after a single fitting. “That was my only fitting before I got the dress—naturally, I was quite anxious,” she recalled. “I received the dress on May 12th and had it altered by the seamstress on the set of Good Behavior.”
The bride accessorized with a floral crown and veil, and wore her blonde hair down in loose waves. “I wanted to add more white to my look once I saw the neutral underlay on the dress,” she concluded to People.
Bundy documented the planning process via Instagram, even posting a sweet photo of she and her father practicing their dance. Another snap features the star enjoying a quiet moment with her future husband just days before the ceremony. “This weekend was a nice calm before the storm,” she wrote.
