What’s happening here? After years of shying away from reality television, former Laguna Beach star Lauren Conrad teased on Wednesday, May 25, that MTV could potentially be documenting her life once again.
The Hills star, 30, posted an Instagram photo of herself working on something related to the bridal designs from her Paper Crown line. In the pic, Conrad — in jeans, flats and a navy shirt — puts the finishing touches on the skirt of one of her blush pieces. She looks over her shoulder and mischievously glances at a cameraman holding his equipment.
“Never thought I’d see the day,” Conrad captioned the pic.
Longtime fans of the designer understandably freaked out. “Please tell me you’ll be back on TV!” @megpek83 wrote, while @hannahdelena9 added: “ahhhhhhhh!!!!! please say this isn’t a joke!”
MTV tells The Knot to check Conrad’s Twitter on Tuesday, May 31, at 11 a.m. ET.
Paper Crown’s official Instagram account also teased the project on Wednesday night, writing: “We’re busy at work shooting our bridesmaid dresses today. This shoot is a little more special than the rest, and we can’t wait to tell you why!”
In May 2009, Conrad exited early from The Hills after five seasons of starring as the series’s heroine. At the time, Conrad cited that she was focused on building her lifestyle empire. She subsequently launched her LC Lauren Conrad and Paper Crown labels in 2009 and 2011.
In September 2014, she married her husband, former Something Corporate frontman William Tell. The California native wore a custom Badgley Mischka gown for the occasion.
